We have continued to enjoy our weekly focus on a different letter sound. We especially enjoyed ‘ck’ making clocks, king crowns and clicking castanets. Here we extended our learning looking at the wall clock outside, confidently recognising numerals 1-10 and playing “What’s the time Mr Wolf”
All the children in yellow class had great fun exploring wet play outside in the garden. Dressed in our wellie boots we enjoyed going ‘Splish, Splash, Splosh’ in the puddles and looking at our reflections. The wet weather also brought many out many worms and we had great discussions describing the features of living objects.
This half term our theme is ‘Festivals and Celebrations’. We have enjoyed painting poppies, decorating carnival masks and celebrating Bonfire Night.
We enjoyed developing our numeracy skills through measuring our friends, finding out who is the tallest in Yellow Class.
Next half term we are looking forward to exploring our new topic ‘Toys’.
