Within the inclusive nature of the spiritual provision for the whole school, its heart is found in the chapel.

RMS has always enjoyed an excellent reputation for the quality of pastoral care shown to the girls. We know that girls achieve their best when they feel valued as individuals and our pastoral structure is designed to ensure that each girl knows that she matters, is cared for, and is important to us.

In Years 7 - 11, the Head of Year leads a team of dedicated form tutors in their guidance and pastoral care of the girls.

Boarders’ welfare is the responsibility of the Housemistress and her team and is described more fully on the boarding page.

The Academic Mentoring programme was initiated and introduced in May 2008. Initially the programme was trialled with Year 9 students. In Sept 2008 the programme was opened up to cover Years 8-11.
