Our second cohort of students have just received their EPQ results and have been rewarded with superb grades, 90% of girls achieved A*/B
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) allows a student to undertake research and produce a dissertation/report of 4000-6000 words. As this project is of the student’s own choice, it gives the opportunity to study a topic of interest at greater depth than might normally be possible. Research methods are a key component and these will be of great assistance on a university course where such techniques are regularly used.
The double benefit, therefore, is the chance to study a topic or field of interest at a demanding level and the opportunity to learn and use the research techniques in advance of a university course.
This year students chose a variety of topics including the indoctrination of the Nazi Youth, Human Rights in Zimbabwe and Noetic Science- a truly diverse selection!
