RMS as a film location

The School has been used as a location for various filming projects.

In January 2008 it was used as one of the main locations for a British movie called Halo Boy. The film starred Brenda Blethyn, Timothy Spall, Mel Smith, Celia Imrie and Joseph Phillips.

The BBC filmed two episodes of a children’s reality show called Skate Nation. It was a roller skating competition shown on BBC 1. The show was hosted by Mark and Sam from CBBC .

Channel Four filmed an episode of the Kevin Bishop Sketch Show, described as a fast-paced sketch show from the team behind Star Stories.

New Tricks has been filmed here and all four of the main characters were present at the School.

We were also used as one of the locations for a film called Me and Orson Welles starring Zak Efron.

In the past the school was famously used as a location in the first Indiana Jones Movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark and then again briefly in the Last Crusade.

Other filming at the School over the years has included a series of The Demon Headmaster, part of the movie Supergirl, a BBC drama called When I’m 64 starring Alun Armstrong, an episode of Eastenders and a short film called No Deposit no Return.
